Response to the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic

Dear friends, partners, guests,

As the worldwide crisis caused by the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic continues to unfold, we face the reality that travel has changed as we used to know it, and we take this matter seriously to protect our guests and our staff.

With the restriction of travel to Belize to slow the spread of Covid-19, we made the difficult decision to close Blancaneaux Lodge thru the month of October 2020.

The recent suspension of all International travel into Belize was effective in keeping the cases of Covid-19 to a minimum and the International airport in Belize is poised to reopen on August 15, 2020 though we have decided to open later on November 1, 2020.

In the meantime we continue collaborate as a group of hospitality minded individuals and work in concert with our colleagues to refine our offerings. If you have stayed with us before or are a partner we’ve worked with in the past, you have come to know our reputation in delivering genuine, authentic and memorable guest experiences. When we reopen on November 1, we will do so with a commitment to create even more memorable and heartfelt hospitality experiences for our guests.

We have achieved the Tourism Gold Standard Certification from the Belize Tourism Board and thereby are approved for reopening to guests and to offer tours and local activities. The stringent program focuses on enhancing hotel and restaurant cleaning, health, and safety standards as well as all operating procedures to ensure safe traveling with minimal impact to the guest experience. Those standards can be viewed here

We will keep this page updated with any new information as it develops.

Please be safe and be well.
